Mystery Case Files: Return to Ravenhearst is one of the most polished and challenging deep dark and supernatural games. It is the first game where hidden object and adventure gameplay is blended.
After the soul of Emma Ravenhearst was freed from her murderer Charles Dalimar, his vindictive spirit is free, and you have to go back to the desolate old manor. There you discover that besides Emma there are more ghosts bound to Ravenhearst. You have to free them and liquidate Charles forever.
All the scenes of the game are well done. The developers of the game hid small scenes within big ones and you can click on part of a location to open up a zoomed scene. Once you’ve found all of the listed objects, the scene zooms back. All puzzles are inventive, and you can skip some of them, but this will add another 30 minutes to your total time.
The game is rather surreal with a shift for supernatural theme. In this game objects are swishing and moving of their own accord, ghosts are singing and show themselves creating plenty of thrilling moments. The game has plenty of new puzzles, excellent orchestral soundtrack and its characters look rather real.
